Catching the Ballast Train - Rare Site Heading north from Lampang & returning empty, a busy day

A rare sight, not your usual train! It was a difficult job to catch this fully loaded Ballast Train, which was heading early morning to a section of track between Khun Tan ans Lamphun, on Thailand's Northern Line. This ballast is part of a major track maintenance effort on the upper reachs of the Northern Line. It took a few pre-dawn starts to catch it in the right place at the right time - hope you enjoy the results. Filmed on the 26 November 2018
