I love to upcycle anything I can get my hands on for a diy home decor project so this was the perfect item! I love that this was headed for the dump and I was able to save it and restore it! If ayou don't want the bottoms of your ceramic pots to scuff up or scratch you furniture, I usually just turn them over id="hidden8" class="buttons"> and apply some clear nail polish to the rough spots in as many coats as is needed to cover; let dry and plant as usual. I id="hidden25" class="buttons"> don't like to microwave or was in the dishwasher. I feel chemicals leach out in high heat. I'm glad my city recycles plastics. They stopped recycling glass & styrofoam. We found a place several yrs back that is about 7 miles from us that takes styrofoam and shreds if for some use in their business. We took a carload that was stacked in our garage because the trash pick up and curb side recycles wouldn't take it. I don't know if that business still exists or if it's in the same place. I don't even remember what type of business it was. We also own a beach home so plastics and the ocean are something I look to curb too.
